They're not the only newspaper that I've seen with ariticles like these. Basically, these articles teach you what to watch out for when planning and booking a trip on your own.
This one in particular raised a few interesting points and ones that were not answered correctly. It was in regards to booking a cabin on a cruise. Not only did it point out that you may or may not know what to look for, but it also said travel agents don't either.
I take exception to this statement. It is true that some agents have hung a shingle and call them selves agents, but have no clue about travel. If you've met any of these, yes, run away. But, a knowledgeable agent knows what to look for. Someone may want a room close to the elevator, but not everyone.
I know I take the time to get to know your wants and dislikes. I look for a cabin that is in a quiet location, one that also offers the least amount of movement. I also do this for no, NO, additional fee. I want you to have a vacation that I would be willing to take.
